Human Rights and Modern Slavery Policy

 

M Large Tree Services Ltd (MLTS) carries on business throughout the UK and Ireland.

This policy applies to all persons working for us or on our behalf in any capacity, including employees at all levels, directors and officers.

At all times we will endeavour to comply with the European Convention on Human Rights, the International Bill of Human Rights, and other internationally recognised standards.

We will protect the human rights of our staff and other individuals we have contact with and encourage our suppliers to respect our policy. 

We will endeavour to avoid causing or contributing to adverse human rights impacts directly or indirectly by our business activities.

We will address any of our actions that may adversely effect the human rights of employees or anyone we have contact with.

We will support and promote human rights in our business and that of our suppliers.

 

Employees.

 

MLTS is an accredited Living Wage employer and encourages suppliers to apply these terms to their employees.

Employees receive clear written terms of employment detailing terms and conditions, remuneration, hours of work, holidays, disciplinary and grievance procedures.

We will comply with all health and safety regulations to protect our employees, visitors and others we may have contact with.

No employee will be required to work excessive hours or undertake tasks that may harm their wellbeing.

MLTS promote equal opportunities and will not tolerate discrimination on grounds of religion, sex, race, disability, colour, age, political opinion or sexual orientation.

MLTS will not tolerate any form of sexual, verbal or physical abuse.

We will investigate any reports of abuse or intimidation and will offer support and guidance where appropriate.

MLTS will consult with staff on issues effecting their employment and listen to their views on relevant issues.

Company Directors have an ‘open door’ policy and will deal confidentially with individual employee concerns.

 

Modern Slavery

 

MLTS will not employ involuntary, forced, or child labour and have a zero tolerance of human trafficking.

We are committed to engaging with our employees, customers and suppliers in order to address the risk of modern slavery in our operations and supply chain.

We have committed to having a clear and transparent company policy, reviewed regularly, and posted on our website, setting out the steps taken to prevent modern slavery and the effectiveness of those measures.

The Board of M Large Tree Services Ltd has approved this Policy, will monitor its effectiveness and review it on a regular basis.
